Part gourmet grocery store, part candy shop—since 1910 family-run Richards Maple Products has celebrated all things maple syrup in the heart of Chardon, Ohio, one of the country’s top maple syrup-producing regions.
Today owned by fourth generation brother and sister Jen Freeman and Matt Barham, and Fred Ahrens, the operation lives up to its tagline: “If it’s maple we have it!” Over the years the sweet shop, which is housed in a charming yellow building, has evolved to offer award-winning maple syrup-based products like maple flavored coffee, maple sauces, maple jerky, jams, seasonings, rubs, spreads, snacks and ice cream. Most of our 150+ products are made from scratch on the property with clean ingredients and no high fructose corn syrup.
