My experiences after 2 years as a CE driver with ADR at ECL Chemnitz:
Pros:
- There's a refrigerator in the car
- Payouts on time, though once there was a problem with that
- bonus of 10 euro / month for your own phone so that you can talk to the dispatcher
- free paper towel + glass cleaner
- there was a nice atmosphere but this is mainly thanks to the dispatchers whose fishing is gone
- for work on weekends 75 euro gross / per working day, but only if you work more than 5 hours
- a truck under the house
Minuses:
- no Adr bonus
- one day you work at day and another at night
- from 2020 to 12.2021 no additional 25% for night work
- unloading with a pallet truck, often loads exceeding 850 kg/ euro palet, you have to be rly strong
- transport of furniture and their unloading, sometimes
- no bonuses for unloading
- many times you have 9-10 delivery points each day
- often work over 16h
- does not pay for overtime
- the base and the square are very tight and bad lighted at night
- after 20:00 the company is closed so neither the toilet nor the shower can be used
- asking each month about your salary because they offen forget to pay for driving with a trailer or diets
- diets are 14/28 whether you go to Switzerland, France or Great Britain
- old cars, with a jamming elevator, no working air conditioning
- As for the payments, there were such situations that for the whole month of work in Europe I got 1730 euro for the whole month of work (CE) + ADRs
- lack of a pistol with a compressor to clean the truck, asking does not help
- dirty, old, neglected trucks
- the handbrake sticks in the trailer non-stop in winter
- many times starting work at 10 pm on Sundays
- hard to plan something on weekends because its irregular
- typical 24h express
- high employee turnover
- bad moods among employees
- driving under time stress, bending regulations to occur for loading / unloading
- mostly work around the chimney in Germany, for 2 years there were only a few trips abroad
