We won the 2018 Community Cornerstone Award. What an honor! The title was presented by the Superior Douglas Chamber of Commerce for our many years of service, community involvement, and commitment to providing our fellow neighbors and their pets with superior veterinary services. Our practice has served the local community since 1979, and there is nowhere else we’d rather call home.

The facility at Superior Animal Hospital houses an on-site pharmacy to give our clients convenient and direct access to a wide range of medications their pets may need.

An assessment of the eyes is just one small part of a comprehensive wellness exam at Superior Animal Hospital. Here, Dr. Robert McClellan checks for unusual coloration, discharge, and other abnormalities.

A veterinary technician examines a sample using a microscope in our on-site diagnostic laboratory. We are able to perform urinalysis, parasite testing, fungal cultures, blood work, and much more.

More than half of the teeth are below the gum line, so it's not surprising that most dental disease is found below the gum line too! To make up for what cannot be seen during a visual exam, we’ve invested in advanced digital dental x-ray technology.

Wellness exams are the cornerstone of preventative veterinary medicine. Our trained veterinary professionals recommend scheduling at least one wellness visit for your pet a year.

One way we effectively prevent disease and illness is in the exam room, where we perform comprehensive, nose-to-tail physical examinations. The sooner we catch signs of concern, the sooner we can begin treatment for a healthier and happier pet.

Proper dental care is not limited to human medicine. Pets need dental care too!

Superior Animal Hospital is a client-focused and patient-driven veterinary facility serving the dogs, cats, rabbits, and ferrets of Superior, WI, and surrounding areas. Our services include wellness exams, sick visits, vaccinations, boarding, grooming, microchipping, health and travel certificates, laser therapy, chemotherapy, X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, parasite testing and prevention, dental, general, and advanced surgery including spay and neuter, cherry eye repairs, oncology surgery, ACL reconstruction, TPLO surgery, pain management, and more! We are open six days a week and look forward to meeting you and your pet!
