The goal of the medical providers at Vein Institute is to provide high-quality care to men and women suffering from venous disease in Fairfield, Newtown, Westport, Avon, and Shelton, Connecticut, and throughout Fairfield County.
Board-certified physician, Alex Afshar, MD, leads the team at the Vein Institute, which offers a warm, welcoming, and relaxing environment. The team at Vein Institute works with both men and women to diagnose, treat, and eliminate the pain and embarrassment caused by varicose and spider veins. 
At Vein Institute, the team offers innovative, service-based, and top-of-the-line quality care performed in an office that feels like home. The team is passionate about treating vein disease using minimally invasive treatments that allow patients to return to their favorite activities right away. 
Since establishing the Newtown office in 2008, Vein Institute has expanded with four other  locations in Connecticut. The team works to provide patients with the most advanced, out-patient, office-based procedures including ambulatory phlebectomy, endovenous laser ablation, treatment for facial veins, hand veins, and hemorrhoids, as well as radiofrequency ablation, sclerotherapy, and treatment of restless leg syndrome (RLS), and spider veins. Additionally, the team offers facial cosmetics such as Botox® and JUVEDERM®. They also offer minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins, including Varithena®, Venaseal®, and VNUS®.
The team at Vein Institute never makes treatment recommendations without pinpointing the underlying cause of their patients’ symptoms first.
